We had to play over 2 days because of the rain, so finished up at David Lloyd playing indoors. We played another 2 sets afterwards and Daniel won both of those, so the match was a lot more even than the score might suggest. A great fun match at a really high standard. Thank you, Daniel - look forward to a hit again sometime soon. |

Lots of Deuce games and I was able to break early and got an edge in the first set. In the second set, it was other way around and Patrick got an early break . At one point, I was down 1-3 in the second set. I had to fight back each point coz Patrick was everywhere, and even chased a beautiful lob :) My forehand shots were ON today and helped me to manage double break helping in closing out the second set. Overall, it was a fantastic match. Thanks Patrick. |

I raced away with the first set and then John did exactly the same in the second as his serve started to gain consistency. John’s serve and ground strokes have excellent length and power on them, and he also seems to chase down a lot of balls which won him a lot of points! In the final set we had enough drama for one evening, with me not taking 3 match points on John’s serve and then the lights going out meaning we had to move courts before they came back on again, causing us to move back again! This happened in the middle of one game where I was serving for the match and definitely disrupted the rhythm of both of us. I lost that game but managed to get the win in the next. Thanks for the excellent game, John, and the great company. All the best with your future matches and I hope we can have more hits in the near future 👊 |

The first set score looked good and in the second set, Logan was very athletic covering all angles and dropshots and was back from 1st Game ; Logan managed to have a lead 4-2 as I struggled to hold my service games initially, but managed to be back into set to hold the last crucial service game. After managing to clinch the first set our levels swapped and in about 15 minutes Patrick was 5-0. Then in the tiebreak Patrick got the mini-break in the first point and then kept himself in the lead before getting another break to go 8-5. Somehow I managed to win the next 5 points and get the win. Thanks for the match, Patrick - and best of luck in the next matches! |
