| 06/01/2025 | Jack Cleeves | Abhishek Sharma | 6-3 | 7-6 | 0-0 | Tough game against Abhishek today, lots ofong points and good tennis. Manage to sneak quite a few net shots over which helped! First set was much closer than the score suggested. I took an early lead in the second set but abhishek made a good come back going up 6-5 towards the end. Managed to get it to a tie break with 7-4 win but could have easily gone to a third set with all to play for. Thanks for the match |
| 06/01/2025 | Jarek Pieta | Patrick Zebedee | 6-1 | 6-4 | 0-0 | Decent match with many good rallies…. Thanks Patrick and see you on the next one |
| 05/01/2025 | Jarek Pieta | Rory Slater | 6-0 | 6-4 | 0-0 | Good way to finish the round, even better to start the new year… We found a window today without the rain, but forgot about the wind 😂😂 Many decent rallies, but also many unpredictable shots because of the strong wind. Anyway, enjoyable afternoon with tennis. Thanks Rory and can’t wait for the next one. |
| 04/01/2025 | Uchenna Adimonye | Aviral Mittal | 6-1 | 6-3 | 0-0 | Icy night for tennis. Glad we were able to play a good match without any slips or falls. A lot of good winners from both sides which was good to see. My matches with Avi are usually closer and I suspect they'll go back to that when Avi shakes off the rust with a few more good matches. All the best! |
| 03/01/2025 | Abhishek Sharma | Srikrishna Raghavan | 6-3 | 6-3 | 0-0 | Always enjoy playing Krish - shame he’s not in his top form right now but thank you for pushing through regardless! Can’t wait to play again when your elbow has fully healed. |
| 02/01/2025 | Srikrishna Raghavan | Patrick Zebedee | 6-2 | 6-2 | 0-0 | It was a very cold evening yesterday and still enjoyed playing Tennis. I started rusty in the first set and was 2-0 down. Then managed to get a hold on the points and won next 11 games. There were lot of deuce games and one of them went for 5 deuces. Patrick cashed on my weak movements during the last set and forced back into the set. I somehow was able to get the next game to close the set. huff..... Thanks Patrick for the match, it is always a pleasure to play with / against my doubles partner :) |
| 30/12/2024 | Jack Cleeves | Rory Slater | 6-3 | 6-2 | 0-0 | Tough match against Rory this evening, lots of close games and felt like Rory was ready to stage a comeback in both sets. Competitive rallies but I made a few less unforced errors which might have made the difference. Thanks for the match |
| 29/12/2024 | Uchenna Adimonye | Srikrishna Raghavan | 6-1 | 6-2 | 0-0 | It's been about two years since I last played Krish, so I was really looking forward to this match. There were some great rallies, deuces, and good gets. With a couple more single matches under his belt, Krish will shake off the rust and return to his best form. All the best! |
| 28/12/2024 | Abhishek Sharma | Aviral Mittal | 6-3 | 2-6 | 7-5 | What. A. Match! Avi and I started this probably mid November ish and finally finished it today. I thought it was gonna be a 2 set win for me but Avi really came back hard in both the second and third set to make it 5-5 when we first played the match. Today, it was just 2 games to win it for either person. After having a friendly set as a warm up (which Avi won) we were finally ready to finish the real match. Somehow, those 2 games were the only ones Avi managed to give away to me fairly easily so I just got lucky I think. If it weren't for the long tennis break Avi had to take for a month, I'm pretty sure the third set would've gone to a very tight tiebreak! Either way, can't wait to play again come 2025 - we're both getting very good at hard hitting and it's just so much fun!!! |
| 23/12/2024 | Uchenna Adimonye | Rory Slater | 6-0 | 6-2 | 0-0 | Great match with Rory tonight. I played my best tennis in the first set - serves and shots were firing. The 1set scoreline is a bit harsh as they were multiple games that went to deuce. In the second set Rory stepped up his game playing aggressive and building momentum. But I was able to hold to close it out. All the best Rory. |
| 23/12/2024 | Nick Newton | Uchenna Adimonye | 6-3 | 6-1 | 0-0 | After quite a few poor or mediocre performances recently, I finally played a decent match with some confidence, and was able to take the initiative in rallies more often than not. But I'm sure there'll be many closer matches with Uche in 2025. |
| 22/12/2024 | Uchenna Adimonye | Jack Cleeves | 5-7 | 6-3 | 7-6 | A topsy-turvy, drama-filled match that could have gone either way. In the first set, I was up 5-3 and thought I had it in the bag, but Jack had other plans, winning four straight games to snatch the set. Determined to avoid a repeat, I stayed focused in the second set and closed it out 6-3. The third set was a rollercoaster - this time, I came back from 3-5 down to force a tiebreak which I won 7-3. A fantastic match played over 2 different days, a week apart. Well played Jack, and all the best! |
| 19/12/2024 | Jarek Pieta | Daniel Harrington | 3-6 | 2-6 | 0-0 | Great match against Dan. I was doing everything I could to get as many points as possible.. can’t wait for the next one. Good luck Dan with your remaining matches. |
| 15/12/2024 | Nick Newton | Abhishek Sharma | 6-4 | 7-6 | 0-0 | Not the greatest quality match from either of us, especially the 2nd set. But it made up for it with being very close, Abi just wouldn't let me get ahead. Good spirited match as always. |
| 14/12/2024 | Rory Slater | Francesco Raimondo | 7-6 | 2-6 | 7-5 | Phew, what a match with Francesco! 2 and a half hours and it could have genuinely gone on and on. We both played at a really good level with lots of winners from us both - today was a match that no one deserved to lose and I was lucky I was able to get it over the line. That said, some of the shots Francesco hit when I was sure I was going to win a point were incredible - I lost count of the number of times I was applauding him passing me at the net or somehow hitting a clean winner while on the run. Was an absolute pleasure to play Francesco and I already can’t wait to play again - well played, Francesco and Merry Christmas to you, see in 2025 for another hit! |
| 14/12/2024 | Jack Cleeves | Jarek Pieta | 6-1 | 6-4 | 0-0 | Bit of a strange game with Jarek today, the sun was so strong and in a position that it reflected off the court, at one end you just couldn't see the trajectory of the shots. Really tough to play and sort of became a match of holding your serve at the sunny end and winning the games in the shade. I was a little more consistent and serving slightly better which I think made the difference, as there was very little long rallies due to the conditions. Good luck in the rest of the matches Jarek |
| 12/12/2024 | Abhishek Sharma | Patrick Zebedee | 6-2 | 6-4 | 0-0 | Always a pleasure playing Patrick - in this case, we had to do it over 2 very spaced apart days but not much you can do when you hit miserable rainy weather in winter. I did think we may potentially go into a longer set (and potentially a third day playing our match) with the second as Patrick's serve started becoming more consistent when 2-5 down but thankfully, I was able to squeeze that one game needed for the win. Till next time! |
| 12/12/2024 | Uchenna Adimonye | Francesco Raimondo | 6-1 | 6-4 | 0-0 | In the first set, I played at a very high level with strong power, deep shots, and few errors. However, in the second set, I felt like I came back down to earth, and unforced errors crept back into my game. Plus Francesco stepped up his game and was playing with higher consistency. I found myself down 0-3 before I had to dig deep to turn things around. Francesco’s gentle demeanor off the court is a stark contrast to his competitive intensity on it. He’s fast around the court and consistently punishes any loose balls that land on his forehand. All the best Francesco |
| 10/12/2024 | Nick Newton | Rory Slater | 7-5 | 6-0 | 0-0 | Good to play Rory for the first time. He has some great shot making and raced to 3-0 up. I thought I was in trouble but he couldn't keep the consistency going. |
| 10/12/2024 | Uchenna Adimonye | Patrick Zebedee | 6-4 | 6-1 | 0-0 | Great to be back on court, even on a chilly night with a slightly slippery surface. It was a good game with Patrick, and tonight, the key difference came down to several gifted unforced errors and double faults on his side. All the best in your remaining matches Patrick. |
| 30/11/2024 | Uchenna Adimonye | Jarek Pieta | 6-1 | 6-3 | 0-0 | A bit of drizzle didn't stop us from enjoying a cracking match. The weather forecasts missed the mark again, wrongly predicting a dry night just 24–48 hours prior. The scoreline doesn’t do justice to Jarek, as it was a much closer contest than it appears. In the first set, all but one game went to deuce, with game 4 featuring what must have been a 20+ fiercely contested deuces! The match lasted well over two hours, a true battle from start to finish. All the best Jarek, look forward to our next match. |
| 25/11/2024 | Nick Newton | Jarek Pieta | 6-3 | 6-4 | 0-0 | After some tough battles in our last couple of matches, tonight was a bit more straightforward - Jarek struggled for his best form. |
| 17/11/2024 | Abhishek Sharma | Rory Slater | 6-3 | 6-2 | 0-0 | Really enjoyed playing and meeting Rory! The score doesn’t reflect Rory’s cracking backhand and solid volleys - can’t wait to play again! |
| 12/11/2024 | Abhishek Sharma | Daniel Harrington | 3-6 | 4-6 | 0-0 | Really enjoyed playing Dan, I love playing against people who bring out the better tennis in me! I feel Dan kinda went easy on me tbh but I'll take the 7 games which I worked hard to get from him as a win for now and try again next time! Looking forward to hitting with you again! |
| 12/11/2024 | Rory Slater | Patrick Zebedee | 6-3 | 6-3 | 0-0 | Really enjoyed another match with Patrick after a long one in the previous round. Some good rallies and lobs, for both of us. Think the difference was I had a better serving day. Really enjoyable match, Patrick - all the best for the rest of your matches this round! |
| 08/11/2024 | Uchenna Adimonye | Daniel Harrington | 2-6 | 6-7 | 0-0 | What a match! First set we used some old balls and I couldn't get my game going. Dan went up 3-nil with minimal resistance before we switched to some new balls. With the new balls, my game began to pick up but it was too little to late and Dan closed it out at 6-2. In the second set I came out firing and went up 3-nil. I had the chance to close out the 2nd set at 5-4 40-30 up, but Dan, a true warrior, broke my serve to take it to tie break which he won 7-3. Pleasure meeting you Dan. Hope we get to play again. Really enjoyed the battle tonight. All the best. |
| 08/11/2024 | Puranjay Das | Jack Cleeves | 2-6 | 7-5 | 6-4 | A very tight match with Jack with lots of twists and turns. Jack won the first set easily as I could not get my serve going. I took an early lead in the second set but he came back to lead 5-3 and was two points away from the match at 30-30 but I managed to win that game and the next 3. In the final set, Jack took the early lead at 3-0 but I managed to get my first serve going and win 6 of the last 7 games. Thanks for the match and all the best for the rest of the league. |
| 07/11/2024 | Abhishek Sharma | Jarek Pieta | 6-4 | 6-2 | 0-0 | Always a pleasure playing Jarek although we probably should've played the day before instead - would've been less slippery. Looking forward to the next time! |
| 04/11/2024 | Uchenna Adimonye | Abhishek Sharma | 6-3 | 6-1 | 0-0 | Always great to play Abhishek. Good match with lots of good baseline rallies. Abhishek has a nice fluid champagne serve. All the best |
| 04/11/2024 | Jarek Pieta | Srikrishna Raghavan | 6-4 | 6-0 | 0-0 | Not the score Krish wanted, not the score I expected…. Krish had some forearm issues, but I have to take my chance and go for it.. Thanks and good luck Krish … |
| 03/11/2024 | Uchenna Adimonye | Puranjay Das | 6-0 | 6-3 | 0-0 | Another great match with Puranjay where we both had to dig deep. The scoreline doesn't tell the full story. In the first set most games went to deuce, and could have gone either way, but I was lucky to convert most. Second set was much tighter as Puranjay stepped up his level, but I was able to hold to close out. All the best. |
