| 30/03/2025 | Uchenna Adimonye | Nick Newton | 4-6 | 6-2 | 7-6 | A gruelling painfully long 3hr match in the sweltering sun. Played in the afternoon with sun shining, a bit of wind and a very tough opponent. This match would have been a good candidate for a draw as we both left it all on the court. At 1-4 down in the tie break I thought Nick had run away with it. But I somehow managed to rally back to win the tie break 7-5. And that's a wrap for this round for me! |
| 29/03/2025 | Nick Newton | Patrick Zebedee | 6-2 | 6-0 | 0-0 | Very nice morning for play, and there were more deuce games than you'd expect from the scoreline. |
| 27/03/2025 | Rory Slater | Patrick Zebedee | 4-6 | 6-0 | 6-3 | Another really close match with Patrick, as they always seem to be! The first set was really close with constant holds of serve until Patrick broke me to win the set. The second was a bit closer than the score suggests, with 2 games on Patrick’s serve that went to about 20 deuces in total! The set still took 40 minutes for 6 games! The final set started to get nervy, I managed to get a 5-0 lead and got ahead of myself - before I knew it Patrick had broken twice and I was starting to think “uh oh, here we go”, but managed to reverse the tide to nick the set. An enjoyable match on a lovely evening - cheers Patrick! |
| 13/03/2025 | Nick Newton | Jarek Pieta | 7-6 | 6-3 | 0-0 | Forgot to enter this score earlier, hopefully it's right! |
| 05/03/2025 | Uchenna Adimonye | Rory Slater | 6-1 | 6-3 | 0-0 | Lovely warm night for tennis. First time this year playing without any inner layer. Great match with Rory tonight with many good rallies, drop shots and lobs! 4th game in second set, Rory had a serve masterclass which he won 40-0 without me returning any serve. All the best, Rory. |
| 03/03/2025 | Aviral Mittal | Patrick Zebedee | 7-6 | 6-3 | 0-0 | An excellent night for tennis. A long slow match, again mostly a competition of who can keep the ball in court well. The match lacked winners and relied more on unforced errors. Then lots of double-faults from Patrick did benefit me, and somehow his potent first servers were not landing in today otherwise the match could have gone other way I guess. The first set was very tense, and somehow I managed to win. Second set was also very competitive though the score doesn't reflect that. I wish Patrick all the best in his rest of the matches. |
| 02/03/2025 | Jack Cleeves | Rory Slater | 6-1 | 6-2 | 0-0 | Great weather for a game of tennis and had a good game. Match felt a lot closer than the scoreline with lots of deuce games and Rory hitting some great winners. Little less consistant overall though. Thanks for the match |
| 28/02/2025 | Aviral Mittal | Jarek Pieta | 6-2 | 6-3 | 0-0 | Very slow match. I am not able to play my normal game because of my knee problems, and I have slowed down a lot. Jarek had problems with the slowness of the game and made too many unforced errors. My slow game means less unforced errors. all I did was kept the ball in the court and kind of frustrate him, :) which worked for me. But I did not feel very good as I did not earn points, but was rather gifted points by him. I wish Jarek all the best for his future games. |
| 27/02/2025 | Jarek Pieta | Srikrishna Raghavan | 6-2 | 3-6 | 14-12 | Very enjoyable match with Krish today. In tiebreak I was leading 8-2 when I made a very close fault, then Krish stepped in and run all the way to take a lead 9-8. I thought that’s it and time to pack up. Since then the horror started, both of us had few match points. At the end the luck was on my side to win the match. Thanks Krish |
| 22/02/2025 | Aviral Mittal | Srikrishna Raghavan | 7-5 | 6-3 | 0-0 | Ideal conditions to play tennis. Had a nice match with Krishna, a few good rallies, but the whole match was marred by unforced Errors. Krish started both sets very well, but with is elbow not fit, I guess he struggled a bit. Then he made too many unforced errors. I think in the first set, I hardly got any points myself, mostly were given away by him In second set again he started well, but soon started making unforced errors. I somehow gained a bit on momentum and capitalized on his unforced errors. To his credit he played some amazing forehands and if he was to keep on hitting those, I would surely be in trouble. Well I wish him all the luck for his rest of the matches. |
| 18/02/2025 | Francesco Raimondo | Jarek Pieta | 7-5 | 6-2 | 0-0 | Windy and cold night, but really an enjoyable and balanced match with Jarek. Good luck with your next matches. |
| 17/02/2025 | Jack Cleeves | Aviral Mittal | 6-2 | 6-4 | 0-0 | Good game of tennis this evening with lots of long games. Few extra unforced errors from Avi and some winners that went long otherwise scorline would have been much closer. Thanks for the match |
| 16/02/2025 | Nick Newton | Aviral Mittal | 6-2 | 6-3 | 0-0 | We were both hitting the ball well, but I made fewer mistakes. |
| 15/02/2025 | Jack Cleeves | Jarek Pieta | 6-1 | 6-3 | 0-0 | Good match this afternoon with Jarek despite quite a miserable afternoon the rain mostly managed to hold off. First set was much closer than the score with lots of games going deuce, Jarek was up in quite a few games but couldn't quite see a few games over the line. Second set went 4-3 and looked to be a close end butanaged to get the last two games. Cheers Jarek |
| 14/02/2025 | Jarek Pieta | Patrick Zebedee | 6-1 | 6-3 | 0-0 | Good quality tennis from both of us. Most of the games went to deuce and at the end I was more consistent. Really enjoyed the match. Thanks Patrick and good luck with the rest of your matches. |
| 13/02/2025 | Uchenna Adimonye | Aviral Mittal | 6-3 | 6-2 | 0-0 | Another cold wintry night. For someone who has been away from the courts for a while, Avi played well. I'm sure he'll be back to his usual level with a few more matches under his belt. All the best. |
| 12/02/2025 | Jarek Pieta | Rory Slater | 7-5 | 6-4 | 0-0 | Another tough match against Rory, many games went to deuce and the result could be easily opposite way. Can’t wait for the next one, cheers Rory All the best |
| 04/02/2025 | Jack Cleeves | Patrick Zebedee | 6-1 | 6-0 | 0-0 | Thanks for the match Patrick, score line not really good representation with quite a few deuce matches, especially in the second set with some very long games going backwards and forwards with deuce/ad. Great serving but just a few errors at key points tipping some games. Good luck with the matches |
| 02/02/2025 | Jack Cleeves | Francesco Raimondo | 6-3 | 6-4 | 0-0 | Good game with perfect weather on a Sunday, great rallies as Francesco made it hard work to get the points playing very consistant tennis. Good luck in rest of matches |
| 31/01/2025 | Uchenna Adimonye | Patrick Zebedee | 6-0 | 6-4 | 0-0 | Great match with Patrick on a very chilly night. On paper, the first set looked straightforward, but there were a couple of deuce games that I managed to win. The second set Patrick picked up and the game was much more evenly balanced. Patrick’s serve really picked up—he was essentially hitting two first serves and winning plenty of points off both. Fortunately, I found a way to break his serve and then held on for the win. All the best in your remaining matches Patrick. |
| 25/01/2025 | Uchenna Adimonye | Srikrishna Raghavan | 6-4 | 6-2 | 0-0 | Krish started the match strong. Everything was working well for him, particularly his kick serves and forehand winners. He bolted to a 4-1 lead in the first set. Luckily I was able to launch a comeback. I raised my level, and Krish's dropped - I suspect his recurring arm injury began to cause discomfort. I went on to win 5 straight games to close out 6-4. Great match Krish, look forward to our next meeting. |
| 23/01/2025 | Srikrishna Raghavan | Patrick Zebedee | 6-3 | 6-0 | 0-0 | Once again a great match against Patrick. Patrick had a great start with big serves and I struggled to return most of them. Then few errors during pressure points from Patrick gave me an edge and I got the lead back to close the 1st set. Second set is when I think my forehand actually started to work effectively :). Grand slam vibes got into us and we played few additional sets as well. Overall it was another enjoyable match with Patrick (My doubles partner). Thanks mate. |
| 21/01/2025 | Patrick Zebedee | Francesco Raimondo | 7-5 | 6-4 | 0-0 | One word match summary: deuce! Most games went to deuce, many went to many deuces. The first set took 1h15, and all that divided us was that Francesco blinked first when serving at 5-6. I felt I started the second set well, but couldn’t get a break. Then Francesco started playing aggressively and took a 4-2 lead, before I worked out what to do about his new tactics, and was able to scrape through for a win. Thank you for a great match, Francesco! |
| 20/01/2025 | Uchenna Adimonye | Jack Cleeves | 6-4 | 7-5 | 0-0 | Another clutch moment. Came back from 2-5 down to win second set 7-5. Very tough match as usual with Jack. All the best! |
| 16/01/2025 | Uchenna Adimonye | Jarek Pieta | 6-1 | 6-0 | 0-0 | I have played many tough matches with Jarek, but not tonight. Tonight Jarek played well below his normal level and gifted one too many unforced errors. The 2 friendly sets we played straight after were more competitive and had longer rallies. All the best |
| 14/01/2025 | Uchenna Adimonye | Francesco Raimondo | 6-2 | 6-2 | 0-0 | Great to kick off the round with a great match with Francesco. Lots of good rallies, and gets. All the best |
